Tetsuhiko Asai Sensei (9th Dan) is widely regarded as the greatest living master of traditional Japanese karate-do. He is truely a living legend. Since the 1940's Asai Sensei has dedicated himself, body and soul, to the art of karate. Asai Sensei's movements often seem superhuman and his knowledge is unsurpassed as the ultimate karate technician.
Besides being the Shuseki Shihan (Chief instructor) of the Japan Karate Shoto-renmei, Asai Sensei has previously held the position of Technical Director of the Japan Karate Association. After Nakayama Sensei passed away in 1987, he became the Chief Instructor of the JKA. Nakayama Sensei in "Best Karate Volume 3' stated".
"He probably has no equals''. Asai Sensei's amazing career included graduating from the brutal Japan Karate Association instructors course in the golden era of the JKA, pioneering karate in Taiwan, winning the title of All-Japan National Grand Champion in 1961 (1st place in both kata and kumite) and countless other lifetime achievements.
Asai Sensei's personality reflects great hardship and the deep humility expected in a true master of the martial arts. Asai Sensei is seen as a karate hero in Japan and all over the world. Shihan Asai's Karate is the Karate of the next century. |

Kato Shihan (8th Dan) was born on July 22nd 1943 in Kochi Japan . He attended the world famous Takushoku University in Tokyo and training under Sensei Tsuyama, Kanazawa and Urui. Sensei Kanazawa's influence was very strong and he won a place on the JKA Instructors Course. Upon completion of the Instructors Course, Kato Shihan went to teach in Germany and in 1966 he was sent by the JKA to the UK . In different time many well-known sensei's and champions were trained under his direction.
As Chief Instructor for IJKA Europe, Kato Shihan is constantly travelling all over the continent, but such is the demand for his instruction that he is now more travelling outside of Europe and all over the World. We hope the sensei keeps on going and share his valuable experience through the world of Karate. |

Born on 5/8/59 in Mumbai, Sensei Patil become a karateka at the age of 17 under the guidance of sensei Sharad and Subhash Parekh. His interest in karate made him pursue this art form with determination which has taken him to Japan, Greece, Switzerland, South Africa, England, Hungary, and Ireland for advance training, special camps and tournaments conducted by senior members of JKA and JKS.
A winner of many kata and kumite events all over India sensei Patil passed the first Dan black belt in 1983, 2nd Dan in Feb. 1988, 3rd Dan in 1992 and subsequently 4th Dan which he earn in 2000. Sensei Patil believes that excellence comes to hard work and he has exemplified this by being chosen as the best performer during his 1st Dan exam.
Sensei Patil started his 1st dojo in 1979 and then many branched all over India. Sensei Patil in this process has invited many senior instructors of the JKA such as Mikio Yahara sensei, Aramoto sensei, Tamang sensei and Shihan S. Kato who by the experience has taught all of us the importance of karate. Sensei Patil has passed international instructor, Judge and examiner grading in Japan and Greece. He has produced many black belts of national as well as international repute.
Sensei Anil Patil has trained under Shihan Asai & many H.O. Instructors in Japan and in other countries too. He is the first Sensei to start his own Hombu Dogo in Thane city. He is an official Karate Instructor in the Municipal Corporation group of Schools of Thane city.
